🌟 PTO Overview: Why We’re Important & How YOU Can Make a Difference! 🌟
Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is the heartbeat of our school community. With just a handful of dedicated volunteers, we’ve been able to raise thousands of dollars and host amazing events that bring joy to our students and families. Imagine what we could do with even more helping hands—the more people involved, the lighter the lift for everyone!
✨ What Your PTO Makes Possible:
- 💡 About $20,000 every year goes directly into teachers’ hands for classroom supplies and projects.
- 🌱 Mini-grants for innovative learning opportunities—like the salmon hatching project, STEAM plant grow system, Oregon Battle of the Books book sets, field trips, kindergarten game bags, reading enrichment, and classroom snacks.
- 🎉 Fun community events such as the Fall Fun Festival, Fun Run, and Field Day.
- 🎊 Special celebrations like the End-of-Year Party and other activities that pop up throughout the year. We love helping our teachers celebrate learning in fun ways!
💵 Fundraisers:
Our PTO puts together several fundraisers throughout the school year to help fund important projects in our school.
- Our annual Fall Fun Festival in November is part carnival, part auction but all FUN!
- Our annual School Discount Card Sale in January is our largest fundraiser and takes the whole school and community to make it a success
- Our annual Fun Run in May is a fun way to get kids moving and also raise money for the school
🙌 Ways YOU Can Help:
- ✅ Make sure you have a current background check (check with the school office).
- 🗣 Join our monthly meetings to share ideas and shape our events. Meetings are typically held the second Tuesday of each month from 6-7pm in the school library. Watch the school newsletter and facebook page for updates!
- 🎪 Volunteer at events—whether it’s setup, cleanup, or running a fun station.
- 🎁 Help gather donations and prizes for our fundraisers.
- 🎪 Volunteer in the school. There are lots of opportunities to help in classrooms, on field trips or with special events like picture day or hearing screenings. Check with the school office to find out more.
Together, we can continue to make our school a place where students and teachers thrive. Your time, energy, and creativity—whether big or small—make all the difference. Come join us, meet other families, and help make an impact!
